Breaking forth into Newness
Our Goal for the 1st part of this year is to entrench the principles of reformation that make us a distinct expression of the current move of God in the earth. We are un-apologetically Apostolic. We are part of a company of pioneers that is setting the course for a true reformation in the earth.
The old is declared obsolete:
(Heb 9:8) The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
(Heb 9:9) Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
(Heb 9:10) Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
(Heb 9:11) But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
The New cannot come while the old is still standing.
The Word Obsolete means: “worn out by time and use” The scripture reference in Hebrews 9 refers to a heavenly release that is no longer relevant to the present seasons in the earth.
The famous new testament technology for understanding how to deal with new seasons or kairos of God is found in Luke 5: 36-39
(Luk 5:36) And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
(Luk 5:37) And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
(Luk 5:38) But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
(Luk 5:39) No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
People very often refuse to move into the new things because they are locked into old paradigms and patterns that still have high validation in their mind. Many times they feel that if they release that which once was life giving to migrate to new positions that they are being unfaithful to what God once did in their lives.
This in underlined by verse 39: No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: For he saith, The old is better.
This is reason why new believers grow faster than old believers. Because they have not taste the old wine.
However what God is offering us is a new covenant relationship that can unveil more of God into your life.
Behold I make all things new! Rev_21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Breaking forth in Newness
The Principle: One of the consistent characteristic of a move of God is the element of newness. The insistent of the church to preserve a particular tradition is out of step with how we come to know the move of God in the lives of the biblical prophets. The only element that is constant is the omnipotence, the supremacy of the creator God.
God always moves in the midst of that which is new! And the encouragement come from the Psalmist to sing unto the Lord a New Song!
Psalm 33:3 Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.
Psalm 40:3 And he put a new song in my mouth, praise unto our God: many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in the Lord
Psalm 96:1 O Sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth
Psalm 98:1 O Sing unto the Lord a new song: for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory
Psa 144:9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
Psa 149:1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
This new song would be in response to the new ways of God’s dealing with them.
Remember Exodus 6:2-3
Exo 6:2 God also said to Moses, I am the LORD.
Exo 6:3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them.
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.
Isa 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you. Song of Praise to the LORD
Isa 42:10 Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.
Let us qualify verse: the word another is the Hebrew word “âcher” and means different. From the root “âchar” means: to cause one to delay, hinder, keep back to cause one to delay, hinder, keep back
By implication that God would not share His glory with any one that would cause his purposes to be delayed, hindered or kept back!
For the new song to bring new meaning to your life you need to declare former things pass and declare new things.
When a new season is announced by the heaven, the people of God must life up their utterance to the same frequency with that which God is speaking.
A dangerous position to be in is to walk in mixer. A picture of a lukewarm church. Not hot neither cold. Such a church make God wants to vomit! Rev 3.
Make the mind shift: I am going enter and walk into Newness
The second element for you to Breakforth in Newness: Manifest a finish mentality
Apostolic people are driven by prophetic degree of God’s expected end not wishful thinking and doctrine of man.
Our predestination is revealing of the image and likeness of the Son God. Sonship is the mentality that drives our every activity.
Heb 1:1 The Son Superior to Angels
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
Heb 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
Heb 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
We live in the earth as a representative type of the heaven. We don’t substitute Him, we represent Him.
Eph 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Eph 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
Eph 1:5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--
Eph 1:6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
JOH_4:34 MY FOOD, SAID JESUS, IS TO DO THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME AND TO FINISH HIS WORK.
The third element for you to Break-forth in Newness: Revelation power of a new lifestyle
Amo 9:11 In that day I will restore David's fallen tent. I will repair its broken places, restore its ruins, and build it as it used to be,
Amo 9:12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name, declares the LORD, who will do these things.
Amo 9:13 The days are coming, declares the LORD,
when the reaper will be overtaken by the ploughman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills.
Amo 9:14 I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
Amo 9:15 I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them, says the LORD your God.
The tabernacle of David represent the divine patterns for life. Within its shadows and types are hidden technologies for a life that will please God. As an apostolic people we have come to a renewed understanding that the building is not the church, the organization is not the church, but the people call out is the ecclesia. Our mandate is build a man (corporate) in the earth after the likeness of Christ.
We are the tabernacle of David that God is restoring and adorning as a bride. The Tabernacle of David represents a radical lifestyle of righteousness that earth has not yet seen.
We are bringing an end to the dual lifestyle that religion has produce. There is no scriptural reference for a secular life and a spiritual life. We representing one life hidden in Christ, and does not matter if we eat or drink or execute daily task, we do it all to the glory of Him!
1Co_10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
The Coming of the Son of Man & the Glorious Church
Isaiah 28: 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.”
We come against any complacency in the spirit, any luke-warmness. We all have our eyes fixed.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive of our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]
That's the call. The alternative from living with your eyes fix on Jesus and having the eternal dimension constantly on your radar, is living and be caught up with the mundane element of life, that is survival. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but loose his soul!
Every apostolic believer must live in the earth with the posture and desire that Moses had. After walking so long with God, there came a divine dissatisfaction in Him and the story is told in
Exodus 33 12 Moses said to the LORD, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”
14 The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
17 And the LORD said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”
18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
19 And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”
21 Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
One is the continued presence of the Lord as a sign in your life. The second is a passion in our hearts for God to show your His glory.
Let us investigate this morning, some elements or dimensions of a glorious Church. Be reminded that the journey is corporate. There are some dimensions of the glory of God that will not be reveal in one of us but that can only be reveal in all of us corporately.
Matthew 24:14 (NASB) 14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14 (KJV) 14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Hebrews 11 (NASB) 7 By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Hebrews 11 (NIV) 7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
Noah, like the apostolic builders in the church today, built what he had not yet seen and he build with holy fear. That is the characteristic of apostolic building. John in his letters would declare:
1 John 3:2 (NASB) 2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
The word appears “phaneroo” means to make know by teaching or to expose a view.
By faith he condemned the world. But Noah did not condemn the world. How then has God through Noah brought condemnation to the world?
God raised Noah up in the earth as a standard, a yardstick, a benchmark, a measure, or a pattern. What Noah build became the standard by which God was preaching to the world. When the world see Noah’s character and what he was building their conduct in relationship to God they just did not only see a God fearing man living out the instructions of God, but they saw a witness of God in the earth. Noah’s life and conduct became standard by which God judged the world Noah lived in.
Matthew 24:37-45 (NIV) 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
Noah is a pattern, copy or a type of the coming of the Son of Man. And so verse 14 says that the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end be.
Let me bring you to light that the coming of the Lord does not be to you as a thief in the night because you are of the light that is day, and not of the night that is darkness.
The display of Noah’s faith in the earth, the way Noah walked with God, became a display of a witness or a standard in the earth. So how does God judge the earth? God raised up a standard? When the standard is raise in it maturity, in its fullness, those who witness the standard is then judge by the standard.
The people of Noah had seen a witness for 120 years, as an exact representation of the heaven in the earth. So the people in the days of Noah were judge to standard of God in the earth that was the Life of Noah. By rejecting what Noah was building in the earth, they were rejecting the purpose of God and was therefore judged.
What Noah built was a representation of God’s glory in his day and it became a witness to the whole world. By the standard of Noah’s life, the whole world stood accused of falling short of the demand of God in the earth.
The question to us this day is, when God measure our lives can He accuse the world of falling short of the standard of the heaven in the earth?
Can God lift up our lives and declare to the world that you are to follow our lives? Are our lives worth following?
The Ark was not Noah’s idea. He build according to pattern as God shown it to Noah. It was not just the message or the operation of Noah that was the witness. Noah’s faith was part of the witness.
The message and the messenger must become one for God to raises up a standard.
In Noah’s day the majority rejected the idea of Noah.
Let us look at the picture of Saul as an inaccurate system.
While David was still struggling in coming to maturity, or struggling to prove himself as a witness, Saul even in the state that evil spirits was controlling him were not remove or judge until David was thirty, that is the number of Maturity.
2 Samuel 5 (NIV) 1 All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “We are your own flesh and blood. 2 In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the LORD said to you, ‘You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.’”
3 When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel.
4 David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years. 5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.
The end of the order of Saul came at the maturing of David.
Exodus 40:33-40 (NIV) 33 Then Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and altar and put up the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard. And so Moses finished the work.
34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36 In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out; 37 but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted. 38 So the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.
The tabernacle of Moses was also called the tent of witness. So much so that the movement of a whole nation was determent by the behaviour of the tabernacle.
The glory of the Lord comes as a result of a finish work.
Matthew 24:14 (NASB) 14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
On the basis of a witness you are judge in court. You have no strong case unless you have a strong witness. One of the key strategies for the defence to win a case is to prove that the witness is not credible. And when the there is no distinction between the world and the church, then there is no witness and the end cannot come.
Witness is a demonstration of the reality of the kingdom established in us. And the Kingdom of God is the absolute rule of God in the life of the believer and through the life of the believer.
You don’t have to die to inherit the Kingdom of God.
Luke 17:19-26 (KJV) 19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. 20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 26And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
